Data you can put in a specification
Search results only include products that meet every filter. Each product shows who supplied the data and when they last confirmed it.
Hard filters only
If a product does not meet a filter, it is not in the results. No near matches mixed in.
Visible search translation
Every phrase Specd understood is shown as a filter you can see, edit and remove.
Named data source
Each product states which manufacturer supplied the data, and who approved it and when.
Confirmation dates
Data that the manufacturer has not confirmed for more than 45 days carries a warning.
Certificates on file
SANS and Agrement claims link to the certificate. Expired certificates are flagged.
Sponsored stays separate
Paid placements sit in their own labelled band, must meet every filter, and never take a rank.

Questions
Is Specd really free for architects and engineers?
Yes. Architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, main contractors and subcontractors have a free account. Manufacturers fund the platform through subscriptions, sponsored placements and services.
How does the plain-language search decide what to show?
Your sentence is turned into filters such as fire rating, category and region, applied as hard requirements. Anything it could not turn into a filter is used only for ordering. You can edit or remove every filter.
Who is responsible for the product data?
The manufacturer. Every product names its source and when it was last confirmed, and professionals are reminded to confirm values with the manufacturer. Under a Specd managed service the manufacturer still checks the values and raises mistakes with us.
Can manufacturers see who I am?
Only if you allow it. By default they see your firm name when you save or shortlist. You can switch that off and they will see a description such as "An architecture firm in Cape Town".
What happens at the end of the 3-month trial?
Choose a plan to keep your listings live. If you do not, your products are hidden from search, and your organisation's data is deleted automatically one year after the trial ends.
Do sponsored placements affect the ranked results?
No. They appear in a separate band labelled Sponsored, only when the product meets every filter in the search, and they never take a rank number.
Is any of this real?
No. This is a demonstration. All people, companies, products and prices are made up, and Google reviews, Gmail and Outlook, payments and notifications are simulated.
